Sophie Emma Wells is a Latina-British-American producer and director with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA. Sophie has worked on award-winning shorts, national touring shows, and feature films—including managing 30+ cast members as a 2nd Assistant Director on Boundaries. As two-time elected President of UCLA’s largest comedy club, she produced over 40 comedic sketches, multiple projects earning national comedy awards. She led the post-COVID revival of the club, expanding membership by 200% and show attendance by 400%. Sophie also oversaw 4 creative studios and a team of 50 employees as Lead Supervisor for UCLA Residential Life. In addition to film production, she spent a year teaching video-production and YouTube to students from elementary to high school. Sophie is driven by stories that uplift, provoke laughter, and center powerful voices—especially those of women and kids.
